About Us
CETP ( Thane - Belapur ) Association, in the Trans Thane Creek industrial Area Navi Mumbai was established in the year 1994 with the objective of minimizing & controlling the pollution load created due to various industrial activities in order to maintain equilibrium between rapid Industrial growth and cleaner environment to ensure proper sustainable development. Also CETP acts as a single point treatment facility and disposal for the industrial especially small scale industries . The total capacity of 27 MLD ( 12 MLD plant commissioned in 1997 with an additional capacity of 15 MLD plant was commissioned in 2006 ) and is consistently running well meeting all prescribed norms . This CETP has achieved an enviable position of “one of the best run CETP in India “ which was acknowledged by Maharashtra Pollution Control Board by awarding “VASUNDHARA AWARD- 2015 & 2018”.
Establishments
CETP ( Thane - Belapur ) Association, registered under section 8 of Co’s Act,1956, as a non profit making company. Our CETP has been functioning successfully in term of uninterrupted operation ( 24 x 7and 365 days ) While the day to day operations of this CETP are taken care by qualified and experienced staff, the overall management is handled by Board of Directors comprising of representatives from user Industries ( SSI / MSI /LSI ) who provide their honorary services with the technical and managerial expertise further ensuring that the CETP is managed in a professional manner. The Board of this CETP has the best of Technocrat Engineers and Experienced Professional and also part of sub committees to handle the Technical, Financial and Administrative issue. The talents and capabilities of these professional are being utilised for making this CETP more integrated run efficiently. We have to proudly say that setting up of CETPs in the industrial area’s has been boon for the clean and green environment in the area and facilities growth and expansion of industries . This model is adopted in all industrial belt of Maharashtra. The Combine Effluent received from SSI , MSI & LSI units at the inlet of CETP are properly and fully treated and discharged through the disposal line meeting all the prescribed discharge norms laid down by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board.
Achievements of this CETP :
By establishing this CETP in the TTC industrial area, we have achieved / control pollution level, helped in providing clean & green environment and reduced health hazards in the area which has helped the public at large and also helped the industries in TTC area to improve productivity and grow without bothering about individual liquid effluent discharges. Effort are taken to ensure the strict compliance of Direction / Guidelines issued by the Govt. Bodies and serve as a link between the Industrial growth and cleaner environment in TTC Industrial Area. As part of our on- going Improvements & Up-gradations our CETP regularly explores avenues to introduce the latest advanced technologies / automation of the existing plant for more efficient treatment processes that will tackle effluent streams of high organic load. In order to handle excessive hydraulic load received during monsoon / to handle any shock load received at the inlet, this CETP has taken up on priority and constructed a 5000 CuM capacity additional Equlaisation Tank. Considering need of the hour, this CETP has also installed a plant of 100 CuM / day capacity using RO technology to recycle & reuse the treated effluent which will be made available as samples for other users to ascertain suitability. This CETP has also installed Imported State of the Art Monobelt and Volute de-watering machines in addition to existing Decanter Machines, for efficient sludge management. In order to upgrade and meet the continuous monitoring of the cetp performance, this CETP is the first to install Real Time Online Effluent Monitoring System which is uploading online data ( 24 x 7 ) on servers at MPCB & CPCB. This continues to emphasis the development of its employees providing opportunities to acquire / upgrade skills and ensure positive results in all the functions of the company.
Social Responsibilities :
CETP ( Thane Belapur ) Association, since its inception, has been actively involved in social activities such as helping various Academic Institutes / Colleges for projects, In-plant training to students, improving awareness of environment among students by encouraging them to visit our plant, professionals and general public, conducting program to impart education to school / college students and ETP operators of industries & CETPs. Every year large numbers of student of academic institute from all over the country visits this CETP and many of them complete their in-plant training from this CETP. Trained student based on their knowledge and performance are offered employment on requirement basis.
Go Green Activities :
CETP Thane Belapur Assn. has put up a Solar & Wind ( Hybrid ) Energy system ( Renewable Energy system ) in its premises and also have taken up projects for Water efficient landscaping, Energy efficient lighting etc. As part of the beautification and to make the TTC industrial area Green, Clean & Pollution free every year CETP (Thane Belapur ) Association, in co ordination with MPCB & MIDC, continue to conduct tree plantation drive within CETP premises and in the industrial area, very aggressively. As part of State Govt. Mass Tree Plantation drive this CETP has planted total 20,000 plants in 2016 & 2017 at the Forest land allocated at Kalyan & Dombivli area. This CETP is also taking up awareness program for “Eco – Ganesha” in and around Navi Mumbai every year.
